Hintze Law Adds Laura Lemire as Of Counsel

Hintze Law PLLC announced today that Laura Lemire has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Laura comes to Hintze Law’s Seattle office with over a decade of global privacy, cybersecurity, and technology law experience as former privacy counsel for Twitter and Microsoft.

At Twitter and Microsoft, Laura helped companies build trust by providing strategic counseling on company’s policy positions and engaging with customers, regulators, and privacy advocates. 

At Hintze Law, Laura will continue to advise clients regarding compliance and regulatory response initiatives with worldwide data protection laws and regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU e-Privacy Directive, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Laura brings a passion for emerging technology and experience working in areas such as cloud computing, ad tech, and AI.

Her expertise also includes responding to regulatory inquiries and investigations related to the collection and use of personal data, developing compliance strategies and risk analysis, drafting and negotiating data protection terms, guiding cybersecurity experts on incident response and best practices, leading M&A activities by evaluating targets’ data processing operations and consulting on integration activities, and developing and presenting corporate privacy and cybersecurity training.

Laura frequently speaks on global data protection issues and has earned the CIPP-US and CIPP-EU certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
