Hintze Law Welcomes Mason Fitch to Health and Biotech Team

Seattle, January 25, 2022: We are excited to announce that Mason Fitch has joined the Hintze Law team as the newest member of our Health & Biotech Team. Mason joins us from Hims & Hers Health, a telehealth startup, where he served as their first Privacy Counsel.

Mason’s work at Hims & Hers included counseling on privacy issues as part of product development, policy development,  contract negotiations, and diligence in acquisitions. Applying his in-house experience, Mason will counsel US and international clients on practical solutions for data privacy compliance and risk assessment and mitigation strategies. His work will include drafting privacy policies and data protection impact assessments, conducting privacy by design reviews, and developing data protection compliance programs.

Mason’s prior privacy experience includes leading the team of Privacy Program Managers at Meta (formerly Facebook) responsible for conducting privacy reviews across all messaging products, including Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram Direct. Mason was also an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton where he advised clients on health privacy and HIPAA, and other privacy matters including, GDPR, COPPA, and FTC compliance. Mason also served as a summer legal intern at the Office of Administrative Judges with the Federal Communications Commission.

Mason graduated from New York University School of Law (J.D. – Cum Laude) and Columbia University in the City of New York (B.A. political science) and is licensed to practice in Texas, New York, and California. Mason is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
